At It Again!

a nice mom of four offered me a portrait job. it feels good to be drawing again. the fluffy thing on top of the paper is my dogs tail, btw. he's very attention seeking, so he has to make sure he's still seen when i'm concentrating on something other than him. :)

Pastel Kind of Mood

did this for 2 hours. haven't touched pastels in years! i wonder why.

Ah Pek

i think i haven't posted this up yet. this is the old man at the mrt underpass playing the harmonica. i took the photo when the paper was still soaked, so the paper is very warped. painted this dunno when last year. just black watercolor paint, paper and brush, and alotta water. budget art, as i call it.

my grandma used to play the harmonica really well too. but she isn't strong enough to do it now. BUT she can still recite her panton (peranakan poetry), which is pretty cool too. just, randomly speaking. :)

5th Week of Art Class!

but this time, i didn't teach anything. ( i was paid for 4 weeks but july has 5, so.. just nice i guess.) our dear mrs. Ong baked a bunch of cupcakes and let us do the decorating. we made jungle animals at first, then did whatever we liked.
cupcake icing is seriously fun. and the 4 kids were hilarious. can i eat this? can i eat that? LOL.

preparing for tomorrow's lesson-- finger puppets! it's not exactly a lesson like the previous painting and drawing ones. more like a project.

i just made this dinosaur puppet for a sample, and it's too cute to be true. it's like baby godzilla in bright green! hope i can organize the kids well enough to have a short show with all the puppets they've made. wheee~

no, not gor gor daren's baby. his friend gave birth (i guess?) and he asked me to make a card. went for $3.00. i had to make the envelope because of the big size. on top of this he bought a bunch of cards that i posted up previously. ^^
